Location Portrait Experience
Portraits beyond the studio

When your portraits belong somewhere else
There are times when taking your portraits beyond the studio simply makes sense.
Perhaps you’d love the freedom of being outdoors, want plenty of space for the dog to run, have a family celebration in mind, or just prefer the idea of portraits on location.
A portrait experience for all sorts of stories
Location portraits don’t have to mark one particular kind of occasion.
It might be a birthday, a family get-together, time with the children, portraits with your dog, several generations together or simply because now feels like a good time.
The reason is yours – the location is simply where we make the portraits.
Because this chapter is worth remembering.
There doesn’t have to be a milestone or a particular reason.
Sometimes it’s simply about the people you love, the stage of life you’re in, and wanting to remember it as it is now.
But childhood has a habit of changing almost without you noticing. The things they do every day now will slowly be replaced by something new; the way they move, the way they communicate and even the way they reach for you.
A Location Portrait Experience gives us another way to create those portraits — away from the studio, in a setting that works for what you have in mind.
Because wherever we make them, the important part of every portrait is who is in it.
What Happens Now?
Step 1

Let’s connect…
Everything begins with a conversation.
We’ll talk about who you’d love to include, what you’d like your portraits to capture and anything else that’s important to you. You don’t need to arrive with everything worked out, that’s what the Discovery Call is for.
Step 2

Your Location Portrait Experience…
You might already have a location in mind, or you might have absolutely no idea. We’ll choose somewhere that works for your experience, taking into account who is coming, the time of year and what we’re creating.
On the day, I’ll guide you throughout, so there’s no expectation that you’ll know what to do. You can simply enjoy being together while I take care of the portraits
Step 3

Your Design Consultation…
This is when you’ll see your portraits for the first time.
We’ll look through them together and I’ll help you choose the ones that mean the most to you, before designing artwork that feels right for your home and your family. There’s no minimum spend; you simply choose what you love.
Step 4

Living with your artwork…
The final part of the experience happens at home, this is where your portraits become part of everyday life.
Whether you choose a single mounted portrait, a Treasure Box or Wall Art, they’re made to be seen, enjoyed and lived with for years to come.
Is This Experience Right For You?
A Location Portrait Experience might be right for you if you already have an idea that takes us beyond the studio, or you just know that you’d like your portraits to be made on location.
Perhaps you’re bringing the family together, celebrating something, including your dog or just want to capture this particular time in your lives.
You don’t need to know exactly where you’d like to go or have everything planned before you get in touch. We can work that out together.
If location feels like the right setting for what you have in mind, this experience gives us the freedom to take Woodland Hill beyond the studio.
What I Believe
I believe the place is never more important than the people in it.
Wherever your portraits are made, what matters is what they will one day remind you of; who was there, how you belonged together and the chapter of life you were sharing.
Years from now, the backdrop won’t be the reason you treasure them. It will be seeing the people you love, together as they were then, and having something that reminds them too that they were always…
Loved and Wanted.

The people ◊ The moment ◊ Just as they are now.
Life doesn’t always give us a particular reason to stop and remember it.
Sometimes nothing extraordinary is happening. Everyone is simply a little older, life has moved on a little further and the people we love are still right here beside us.
That’s reason enough.
Tell me who you’d love to remember just as they are now.
