About my approach to weddings

Every wedding I photograph is like opening the page of a fresh book, with a new wonderful story to be told and brought alive in images.

I like to get to know my couples before the big day; this makes such a difference to the images. I always like to have a pre-wedding shoot at your venue, I love these shoots and we always have enormous fun. On the big day you will be so relaxed having had a taster of what it is like to be in front of the camera.

My style of photography is an eclectic mix of classical portraiture, to bring out the very best in you; coupled with a vibrant and fun photography to bring the story of your wedding day alive. This mix will produce timeless memories that you will treasure forever.

It would be lovely to meet with you when you are considering your photographer, that way I can show you my albums, slideshows and other printed work; I will always show full weddings so you can get a feel of the whole day. At the same time we can chat about your day and you will be able to ask me all the questions that are so important when making such a big decision. Being fully informed will help you when making your final choice of photographer.

In the past I always offered packages but I have now decided to really simplify my pricing structure, and I now charge a day rate. This gives the flexibility for you to pick and choose the items that you may or may not want to purchase after your wedding.

The day rate will include the pre-wedding shoot at your venue and coverage from the bridal preparations through to the first dance. Items included in my day rate are as follows:

A DVD Slideshow presented as the full story of your day; I like to describe these as moving albums.

All your high resolution wedding images and these have full reproduction rights for printing and sharing with your family and friends.

Your images will be uploaded to my on-line gallery and this is password protected. On the day each guest will be presented with a card giving all the details of your gallery. After your post-wedding consultation they will be able to view the images of your big day.

The price for my day rate including the items above is £1,100.00

I also have a selection of beautiful wedding albums sourced from my exclusive Italian supplier and prices range from £350.00 to £1,500.00. Of course you may wish to design your own album, and if this is what you would prefer then you will have the high resolution images from your wedding day to do this.

If my prices are within your wedding photography budget and you would like further details I will e-mail you a detailed pricelist and a brochure giving more details about our wedding service. I absolutely hate the hard sell as a client so I do not employ this technique in my own business; if you request information from me I will not hound you and it will be up to you if you wish to chat further. Arranging a wedding is an enormous task and having suppliers on your back continuously is just irksome!

I think that it is very important to choose your wedding photographer wisely. Price is an important factor when considering your photographer, but so is the portfolio of any potential photographer. Your photographer is responsible for capturing one of the most important days of your life, creating those special memories that will last a lifetime. You must be sure that their work is consistent and the quality is what you would want from the price you are paying. I do not believe in showing you cherry picked images, there will be plenty of full weddings to show you in slideshows and in albums.

I believe very strongly that any work I show is of real people at real weddings, pre-wedding shoots or cherish the dress shoots. I do not show any imagery from training days or seminars and pass it off as my own work. This will give a false impression of a photographer's style and ability and I am more than happy to prove the origins of my work.
